Wolverhampton to Tipton

We wake up moored near three other boats. Our neighbor Mervyn lives on his boat. Kevin and Mark heard many tales during their visit. Mervyn is writing a memoir so maybe we can all read his stories.

Then we head over to do one of our boat chores--fill up with water. Our 100-gallon tank must have been low--took us quite a while to fill up.

Kevin at the helm, mostly through urban, industrial settings.
Some of these spots are tight!

Cosley Tunnel is 360 yards long and wide enough for two-way traffic.

Once we emerge, the surroundings are totally different--green and woodsy.

We moor at the site of the Black Country Living Museum, which we will visit the following day. It is well secured.

Which is good since the local area seems to occasionally experience some crime.

After some pints and pies at the pub, we head back to our quiet spot for the night.

  1. I'm surprised you got anywhere that day. It looks like my dad, Mark, and Mervyn could have chatted for hours. That tunnel looks pretty cool. I love that it opened into a different landscape.-Kelly
